Putting Darts

A Lawn Club original recipe! A dash of mini golf, a twist of cornhole, a side of darts. It all comes together in a strong concoction that’s heavy on fun.

Equipment

  • Eight (8) golf balls – one set (pink or black) of four balls per team

  • Four (4) dual-blade putters – two putters per team (they work for righties and lefties)

  • One (1) bullseye
  • Four (3) tee boxes – two per team

  • One (1) golf bag – to hold the balls and putters

Setup

  • Teams of 1-4 players per team

  • Tee markers are placed 1 tee caddy width from the baseline, spaced 6 feet apart, centered on the lawn

  • Bullseye is placed center of the lawn

  • Each team is provided 2 double-blade putters, which work for both righties and lefties

  • Each side is provided 4 balls of one color (pink or black)

  • Teams take position behind their tee markers (all teammates on the same side)

Objective

  • Putt your balls into the rings of the  bullseye to score points

  • Score more points than the opposing team

House Rules

Start

  • Each team selects one player to putt one ball

  • Whichever team is closest to the bullseye chooses whether to go first or second

Play

General Rules

  • Teams can be 1-4 players per team
  • Player and ball must be behind and within their tee markers when putting a ball
  • Hitting the other team’s ball is allowed – no penalty is awarded and balls are scored where they lie at the end of the round
  • Balls must be completely within a ring to be scored for that ring

Gameplay

  • Teams take turns putting one ball each until they have played all balls; teammates take turns putting
  • Player and ball must be behind and within their tee markers when putting a ball
  • After all balls from both teams have been played, this concludes a ”round”
  • At the end of each round, each team gathers their balls and returns them to their tee box
  • Team that scored last round goes first next round

Scoring

  • After all 8 balls are played, tabulate score

  • Points:
    • Bullseye: 3 points
    • Second Ring: 2 points
    • Third Ring: 1 point
    • One ball in each ring at end of round: 1 point

  • Team with the higher score earns the difference in points between the two teams
    • Example: Team A scores 5 points and Team B scores 2 points. Team A is awarded 3 points.

  • First to 11 or more wins. No need to win by 2.
